About Us
The John Randolph Foundation is a community-based Foundation working to improve the health and quality of life for residents of Hopewell and surrounding areas through Grants and Scholarships.

The Foundation seeks to:

  • Promote good health concepts and practices and improve the quality of life in our community.
  • Support medical and allied health education thereby improving the standards and availability of quality healthcare to the citizens of Hopewell and surrounding areas.
  • Actively participate (as needed) in the healthcare planning processes for Hopewell and surrounding areas, and monitor the appropriate utilization of available healthcare resources.
  • Support appropriate entities in the reduction of substance abuse, spousal abuse and violent crimes.
  • Promote wellness and health education with emphasis on cost containment.
  • Work to reduce the cost of healthcare to senior citizens and the disadvantaged.

History
John Randolph Foundation was initially established as a supporting organization to the John Randolph Medical Center in 1991. Upon the sale of the Medical Center in August, 1995 to Columbia/HCA, a for-profit corporation, the Foundation became an entity separate from the Medical Center.
